Mod Never Expire

It happen that you have content that rarely change such images, CSS, JavaScripts, ... so what about telling the browser to keep them for ever as long as possible ? Visitors will consume less bandwidth and less requests will be generated on your server.

Today Paul Querna released mod_never_expire, an apache module similar to mod_images_never_expire but more configurable. mod_never_expire could be used for any type of files : images, scripts, style sheets ... it sets long expire and cache-control headers easily.

The only thing that you have to try is what to do in case some your "never expired" files changes. Change URL, or use something like a mod_expired ? A small solution, but if used properly it could save lots of time and money. I think it's worth to give it a try.
